Welcome!
My caseload is currently full and I am not accepting new clients at this time. I will update this page and my contact page when I have openings.
My name is Molly (she/her) and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) located in Western Pennsylvania. I provide individual, one-on-one therapy via telehealth to women and LGBTQ+ folks 18 years or older within the state of Pennsylvania. I enjoy working with clients within the neurodivergent and queer communities, as I am a member of these communities myself.
What I Help With
Self-Discovery/Identity
Anxiety
Stress Management
Life Transitions
ADHD/Autism/AuDHD (affirming therapy, not coaching)
What To Expect
My values include, though are not limited to, authenticity, autonomy, choice, compassion, curiosity, humor, nonjudgement, transparency, and social justice. These values often show up for me in my role as a therapist.
I am LGBTQ+ affirming, neurodivergent affirming, and consensual non-monogamy affirming
I tend to embody a casual and patient energy as a therapist, and do not hold my client's to any set standards - you are allowed to laugh, cry, scream, eat, take a break, wear your pajamas, craft, play with fidget toys, and do whatever else you need to do to take care of yourself during our therapy sessions.
I am a Gestalt-trained therapist, having completed a two-year postgraduate training at the Gestalt Institute of Pittsburgh. I also often incorporate elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Feminist Therapy in my approach. To learn more about my approach to therapy, visit the "My Approach" section of the menu.
I often show up to sessions dressed "casually" (t-shirt, sweatshirt, baseball hat, etc.) to promote my own comfort, which allows me to feel present with my clients. I also do this to challenge rules/expectations set by others/society (who decided sweatshirts aren't professional anyways?) and to invite you to show up as your authentic self, too.
I provide one-on-one therapy services via telehealth to adults within the state of Pennsylvania. In-person counseling may be offered on a very limited basis.
At this time, I do not offer couples therapy or family therapy.
Self-Pay
For those not using insurance, I offer self-pay on a sliding scale of $75-$125 (what is a sliding scale?). Please note, I have a limited amount of slots in the lower range ($75-$99) of my sliding scale
This is the option with the greatest level of confidentiality/privacy, as I am not obligated to record a diagnosis and would not need to release records to an insurance company (if using insurance, an insurance company is able to "audit" a medical record, which means they access a client's notes and treatment plan).
Insurance
Commercial Insurance: I am able to accept Highmark/BCBS, UnitedHealthcare/Optum, Aetna, UPMC, and Cigna/Evernorth
Medicare: I am able to accept Medicare Part B, Highmark Advantage, and UPMC for Life
Medicaid: I am able to accept UPMC for You (Allegheny County only)
Out-of-Network Reimbursement
If I do not accept your insurance plan, I am happy to provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance for out-of-network reimbursement. Reimbursement amounts vary by insurance plan. Please call the number on the back of your insurance card to learn what coverage your plan provides for out-of-network services.
When I'm not providing therapy, I'm usually spending time with my chosen family (including pets), listening to comedy or informational podcasts, traveling to new and familiar places, finding something delicious to eat, planning my next tattoo, or starting a new hobby that may or may not stick (probably the latter).
Some of my cultural identifiers include...
Race: White
Religion: Hopeful Agnostic
